People do a lot of things.  I think we can classify the whole range of human activity in terms of arts and sciences.  In this system, an art is concerned with method (how to do something) and a science is concerned with truth (why something is the way it is).  An art is an intentional, reproducible, and communicable action.  Science consists of a body of observable facts.  Note that what other people called facts in the past have since been shown untrue.  To the extent our predecessors could observe their facts, they were true.  To the extent we can disprove them today, they are false; even as our beliefs will undoubtedly be challenged by our successors.  The point is, it is a convenient way to classify human knowledge and will lead to later conclusions.  Speaking practically, however, I don't believe it's possible to divorce science from art or vice versa.
